Matcha Privacy Policy

Matcha (the "Service") is an app where couples, crushes, and friends get to know each other by answering one question together every day. This policy explains what information the Service collects and how it is used.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: the unique identifier and email address provided by Sign in with Apple. (If you choose Apple's "Hide My Email," a private relay address is collected instead of your real email.)
• Profile: the nickname you enter.
• Usage data: your answers to daily questions, your connected partner (pair) information, and your streak.
• Push token: a device identifier (APNs) used to send notifications.

2. How We Use Information

• To provide the Service: sign-in, and running the core feature where both people's answers unlock at the same moment once both have answered.
• To send notifications: e.g. tonight's question has arrived, your partner has answered.
• Your answers are only ever shown to your connected partner and are not shared with any other third party.

3. Storage and Third-Party Sharing

Data is stored on Cloudflare infrastructure (a D1 database). We use Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) to deliver notifications. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it externally except where required by law.

4. Data Deletion

To request deletion of your account and associated data, please email us at the address below. We will delete your account along with your answers and connection information.

5. Children's Privacy

This Service is not directed to anyone under the age of 17.
